In your root directory ( httpdocs in Plesk, public_html in Cpanel) If you can’t find the .htaccess file, then create a new .htaccess file.
Open it to edit using any of your favorite editor or using the file manager (Go to your cPanel account open File Manger, Click on Settings, check the box “Show hidden files” and click Save)
- Open the .htaccess file and add the code “Options All –Indexes”.
- Click on “Save Changes” to save and close the file.
The directing listing on your site has been successfully disabled.
